ACTIVITIES AT THE RESORT AND NEARBY
The campsite is well situated with a go-cart track, bowling alley, horse-riding ranch and fun-fair nearby, but not close enough to disturb the peace. Indeed, the campsite benefits from its close proximity to leisure activities, whilst being at the quieter end of Argelès.

You will find a bar and restaurant on the campsite, as well as supermarket, bakery and newsagent. From the campsite you can stroll down through the nature reserve directly onto the sandy, "blue-flag" beach or use one of the bikes provided to explore the countryside and hidden alleyways. As a user of La Sirène, there is free windsurfing facility at the local beach. Also hire of other equipment such as catamarans and pedalos are subject to a 10% discount (this is subject to variation).
The campsite is owned by a french family, and is professionally run with a different entertainment every night. It has its own disco and plenty of sporting facilities. The reception has multilingual staff on hand throughout the day to assist you.

In the local area of Argelès-sur-mer you can enjoy wide sandy beaches or go shopping. Pleasant al-fresco eating and drinking places abound. If you prefer life a bit more energetic, you can arrange to go diving or sea-canoeing. Or go mountain biking or hiking along the plentiful paths just inland, to explore the foothills of the Pyrenees and Mount Canigou nearby.
Further afield, yet only 15 minutes drive is Aqualand providing a fun, family day out, with plenty of water activities. See the Aqualand website (french language) for further details.

A short drive away, you can reach the quaint towns of Collioure and Ceret, nestled in the mountains. There are also several spa villages in the area where you can take "la cure" from the relaxing waters of the thermal baths. Amelie lès Bains, a charming village set in the most glorious surroundings of pine forest and valleys is one such - about 50 minutes drive.
The campsite also provide day trip coach excursions in season once a week (prices vary) - typically to Barcelona or Andorra.
The campsite is located on the edge of the Roussillon wine area and there are numerous caves and vineyards which offer free tasting and the opportunity to top up your wine cellar! Chateau Valmy is an excellent visit. It has a nature trail, and a wonderful vineyard. The Chateau also holds open air musical concerts in Spring and Summer.
